Interview with Founder of Rapport Builderz, Nancy Zare on “Connecting with Intent” Podcast
In a recent episode of “Connecting with Intent,” Muhammad Awais welcomed Nancy Zare, founder of Rapport Builderz, to discuss her journey and the lessons she’s learned along the way.
Early Inspiration Nancy’s passion for helping others communicate effectively began in childhood, sparked by a desire to mediate between her parents during their tumultuous marriage. This early experience taught her the importance of speaking the language of the other person, a lesson she now applies in sales and communication.
Higher Purpose Nancy’s higher purpose is to serve God and humanity. She has always felt a deep responsibility to nurture and help others, driven by a desire to help people and even animals reach their full potential. This sense of service guides her personal and professional life.
Overcoming Challenges
- Gender Equality: Growing up in an era where women were undervalued, Nancy had to constantly prove her worth in a male-dominated society.
- Religious Discrimination: As a Jewish woman, she faced anti-Semitism, which influenced her family to change their last name to avoid discrimination.
- Mindset: Nancy overcame a false narrative of unworthiness that stemmed from childhood experiences, learning to recognize and reject limiting beliefs.
Greatest Failure Nancy spoke candidly about the end of her marriage, which left her feeling diminished. Over time, she has reclaimed her dignity and strength, finding solace in her faith and learning to move forward with grace.
Impactful Book The “Textbook of Alcoholics Anonymous” has been particularly impactful for Nancy. It helped her connect with a higher power and provided a framework for living a God-centered life, rather than a self-centered one.
Goals for the Next 12 Months Nancy is working on launching a video course, “How Buyers Buy,” and expanding her podcast series with new projects like “Money Marketing Mindset.” She also plans to revise one of her books to better serve service-based attorneys.
Advice to Younger Self Nancy would advise her younger self to embrace self-love and reject feelings of unworthiness. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing one’s value, independent of external validation.
Support and Engagement Nancy is always looking to connect with like-minded individuals, particularly service-based professionals such as attorneys and financial advisors. She invites others to share her content and connect with her on LinkedIn.
Closing Thoughts Nancy encourages listeners to find their North Star—their true gift—and follow it with passion. For her, it’s about helping people communicate better, especially in sales conversations, but the message applies universally.
